What We Believe

We believe in one Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit who created the whole universe.

God has come to us bringing salvation through a new covenant entered by faith.

The Lord continues to come to us by the Holy Spirit, God present in the world, and Guide to the church.

We believe the Bible has been given to us by the inspiration of God to be the rule of faith and life. It is the standard of all doctrine by which we must test any word that comes to us from church, world, or inner experience. We subject to its judgment all we believe and do. Through the Scriptures the church is bound only to Jesus Christ its King and Head.

He is the living Word of God to whom the written word bears witness.

The living God continued to walked in our midst in a world through the Holy Spirit and can fully inspire faith, hope and love. We believe we are forgiven and loved by God.

Worship is one of the expressions of our faith and so are the sacraments of Communion and Baptism.

A sacrament is an outward visible sign of God’s inward work and promise of grace. Baptism is a sign and seal of our union with Christ and with his church. The Holy Communion, Lord’s Supper, or Eucharist, Christ offers himself to us and we present ourselves to him in worship and adoration.

We also believe that we are called to be participants in building God’s kingdom on earth. Jesus called his disciples to follow his example and to serve others in love, compassion and justice. In reaching out with the compassion of Jesus in our work and service, in our congregation, community and the world, we see ourselves as participating in what God is already doing in the world by embodying Christ’s love for all, sharing Christ’s Good News and a desire to grow, change and welcome others.
